Vigorous Acid Gas Treatment

Gasification processes produces various acidic gasses such as carbon sulfide and carbon dioxide, which is required to remove as they causes serious health hazards. Worldwide environment regulation and norms make its mandatory and obligatory for all companies to take care of ecosystem, which necessities the use of a brilliant acid gas treatment method which prove both economical and eco friendly.

Methods

Different methods are used for removing harmful gasses, which are produced during various processes. The foremost method is removing gasses with the help of an absorber, almost all oil and petro chemical industries uses this method in which liquid and gas comes in contact with each other; this process is implemented in an absorption tower. However as the acids present in the gasses vary in certain degree, therefore different solvent are used for removal.

Chemical solvents are used when the acidic gasses present are less than 1 ppm, solvents such as Rectisol and Selexol are used to remove sulfur for chemical synthesis application.  In power generation applications, Methyl Diethanolamine is used, in chemical and physical processes the Syngas is washed with solvent which removes H2S.

In this process of acid gas treatment clean gas is sent downstream for processing, solvent rich acid gas is send to the bottom of the tower, where it is sent to the regenerator. H2s exits from the top of the regenerator and send to sulfur recovery system, which produces a byproduct of sulfur. The solvent is then cooled and then recycled back to start the abortion process again.

Procedure of Flue Gas Treatment

Industries and power plants produce distinguished gasses, during certain chemical processes and waste disposal, which contain toxic gasses such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid, in addition to it also contains various heavy metals. These gasses are often termed as flue gas; various methods are used in order to remove dangerous pollutants from this. After proper treatment it is exhausted out of the plant; however it stills contains several matters in small volume. Flue gas treatment is mandatory as it contains harmful gasses; majority of nations are strictly following eco friendly norms, which are specially designed for protecting environment against harmful gasses. Therefore it’s compulsory to treat it before draining outside, taking into consideration all the necessary standards.

Certain chemical processes remove pollutants from it, in accordance with scrubbers. High catalytic reaction is used for removing nitrogen oxide from it, with relevant modification in combustion process one can also eradicate nitrogen by disallowing its formation. Fine particles are removed by precipitator that separated fine particles from it.  In dry Flue gas treatment a chemical is injected in to the gas for removal of harmful gasses, the residue obtained is further removed by precipitator. This method is economical and flexible with temperature and it is not complex.

Wet process effectively eradicate toxic elements from flue gas, mostly lime and sodium bicarbonate is used in both dry and wet processes, once the gas is cleaned then it is expelled outside.

Remunerative Solvent Recovery

It is a process of purifying the solvents, which are used for several industrial applications but after usage, is contaminated with toxic substances which are harmful for environment. During disposal, solvents such as xylene, acetone and methanol need to treat, as they contain harmful chemicals. Solvent recovery is an economical method, which saves time and money which was previously required to treat the solvents, before dumping.

Buying new solvents and bearing solvent disposal costs too, is not indeed a good idea. Governments around the world are strict on eco system degradation and keeps on changing the norms for industries, in order to devise a healthy planet. Therefore it is mandatory for chemical and oil industries to apply best disposal methods. Solvent recovery stands as a perfect choice for reducing discarding costs. Esteemed industries are following each and every essential step, for treating wastes obtained from certain process. However this increases the process cost, whereas solvent reclaiming is an efficient and economical method, specially designed on reuses and recycle concept.

Traditionally several methods are used for solvent recovery such as distillation, drying, evaporation and filtration. With the improvement in technology, various other compression methods are introduced and used successfully. In addition to compression, vacuum compression emerges as a reliable technique which makes recovery of solvent less costly and more efficient. Solvent retrieval is a cost effective process, which saves industries resources and it works in accordance with government guidelines and norms. This method helps in reducing pollution and it is profitable for our environment.

Scrupulous Gas Processing

Gas processing is a method of separating impurities, fluids and hydrocarbon from raw gas. Natural gas has enormous usage. It is used as fuel in various commercial and industrial applications. Treatment of natural gas is a gradual process. Natural gas is obtained either from oil fields or from non oil fields. It’s sometimes found in coal fields. Not all impurities present in natural gas are worthless some have good economic cost. These are processed separately and sold.

Crude gas contains water and condensate which is removed before transporting it to processing plant. On reaching processing plant initial purification disembarks. Acidic gasses such as hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide are removed by Amine treatment. Currently Polymeric membranes are used to separate impurities from raw gas.

Crude gas obtained after gas processing has to meet certain standard dispose by distinguished companies. Sulfuric acid and elemental sulfur are devised from the residual hydrogen and CO2 in sulfur recovery unit .The next process after removal of acidic gasses is the separation of water vapors. This is rendered either by using regeneration process or by glycol dehydration. Mercury and nitrogen is removed afterwards by distillation process.

Natural gas liquids are recovered after separating mercury and nitrogen. NGL is delivered to several gas pipeline and the charges are incurred according to the quality of NGL delivered. The recovered gas liquids are then routed to fractional train where propane, butane and ethane are produced. These gases are sweetened through distinguished sweetened units. The final product then formed is delivered to end users.
